Pre-Prep Music Clubs

New musical activities have started this term in the Pre-Prep with two new lunchtime clubs. Year 1 are starting to learn the Ocarina and Year 2 are getting to grips with Boomwhackers. Ocarinas are wind instruments while Boomwhackers are tubes that are whacked on the floor to vibrate at different frequencies depending on their length. The children are really enjoying both clubs and this is proving to be a really fun way to introduce them to the skill of reading music, the concept of rhythm and melody, but above all, the joys of ensemble playing.
