The Season for Giving

Thank you to everyone who contributed so generously to the Mayor of Tunbridge Wells’ Toy Appeal. We held a special assembly where the gifts were donated and the Mayor spoke movingly of his great gratitude and of the impact that these will make to local families.

Fundraising for Africa

Pupils wholeheartedly embraced the sponsored walk in aid of African Promise. They really pushed themselves to do as many laps of the field as they could, some even managing 25, whilst completing challenges on the way to remind them of the money raised for the food programme, rainwater butt and the playgrounds. Thank you to all who have donated so far – every penny makes a difference.

Fantastic Fundraising

We’ve just had a lovely letter from the Community Fundraising team at Evelina Children’s Hospital thanking us for our donation of £11,982, the grand total from our fundraising efforts:

“It is the wonderful supporters like you, that fund new equipment, fantastic staff training and innovative research programmes within our Cardiology team, above and beyond what the NHS can provide. You make such an unbelievable difference to every aspect of our work, from the delivery of our services to staff wellbeing. We can’t thank you enough.”

A big thank you to our pupils for their continued enthusiasm for Evelina over the past two years, particularly given the circumstances; fundraising during a lockdown brings its own challenges! Thank you also to everyone who supported the children in their endeavours. We’re all very proud to have made this contribution.

Harvest Celebrations

We welcomed Wendy Carr, Associate Vicar of Tonbridge Parish Church to join us in a special Harvest celebration assembly. We gathered the generous contributions to Sustain, Tonbridge Baptist Church’s foodbank, which have now been packed up and will soon find their way to local families in need.

A big thank you to everyone who donated. Also, just a reminder that the parents of our Year 6 leavers kindly donated a storage box so that donations to the foodback can be a regular occurance, for anyone who might like to make contributions in addition to our special events.
