The Season for Giving

Thank you to everyone who contributed so generously to the Mayor of Tunbridge Wells’ Toy Appeal. We held a special assembly where the gifts were donated and the Mayor spoke movingly of his great gratitude and of the impact that these will make to local families.

Fundraising for Africa

Pupils wholeheartedly embraced the sponsored walk in aid of African Promise. They really pushed themselves to do as many laps of the field as they could, some even managing 25, whilst completing challenges on the way to remind them of the money raised for the food programme, rainwater butt and the playgrounds. Thank you to all who have donated so far – every penny makes a difference.

Festive Foodbank Donations

Thank you so much to everyone who contributed to our collection for Sustain.  As ever, we were delighted with the response.  Our Year 8 pupils travelled to Tonbridge Baptist Church yesterday to put the Christmas hampers together, assisted by a group of our parents.  Neil Durling, the Minister of TBC talked to the pupils expressing his gratitude for the gifts and explained how these contributions would make a significant difference to some of our local families who are unable to afford the little luxuries that so many of us take for granted.

Harvest Celebrations

We welcomed Wendy Carr, Associate Vicar of Tonbridge Parish Church to join us in a special Harvest celebration assembly. We gathered the generous contributions to Sustain, Tonbridge Baptist Church’s foodbank, which have now been packed up and will soon find their way to local families in need.

A big thank you to everyone who donated. Also, just a reminder that the parents of our Year 6 leavers kindly donated a storage box so that donations to the foodback can be a regular occurance, for anyone who might like to make contributions in addition to our special events.
