Instilling Core Values Through Charitable Giving

Our school has a long and proud tradition of raising funds to help those in need. Throughout the school year, we hold various events for designated charities, such as Baboons Cancer Support and Mayor's Toy Appeal. Our recent Wellbeing Week aimed to promote social responsibility by encouraging pupils to give back to those around them.

Hilden Grange Bursary Appeal

Our caring, supportive community draws its strength from the diversity of our families and their life experiences. This lively and varied environment is one that we actively foster and appreciate.

Financial assistance in the form our Bursary Fund provides access to prospective families from different economic backgrounds. The benefit of this is two-fold: on the one hand, it makes a life-changing difference for recipients, who get to experience an outstanding educational offering; on the other hand, it broadens and enhances the experience and perspectives of all students.

The Gold Standard Charitable Trust

The Gold Standard Charitable Trust (GSCT) raises money for bursaries at all Inspired UK schools. The Hilden Grange School Bursary Fund aims to support students already enrolled on a bursary while adding one or more additional recipients each year. Donations to this fund will be designated to Hilden Grange students; however, if the needs of all pupils are completely met, funds may be used where the need is greatest among the schools GSCT serves.

With your gift to the Bursary Fund, you can help us be a better and stronger school by bringing in wonderful, interesting and talented students.

Tax Advantaged Giving: “Gift Aid It!”

The tax laws of the UK allow you to increase your giving impact substantially if you apply for gift aid.  Families in the 45% tax bracket who claim gift aid have an impact 82% greater than the net cost of their gift. For the 40% tax bracket the impact is an additional 67% and in the 20% bracket it is 25% extra for the students. The table below shows how this works:

Tax Rate Impact Gift Amount Post Tax Cost Gift Aid Total to School % increase of
45% tax rate £10,000 £6,875 £2,500 £12,500 +82%
40% tax rate £1,000 £750 £250 £1,250 +67%
20% tax rate £100 £100 £25 £125 +25%
