Singing fun at its best

The annual Form Singing Competition, which takes place just before half term, is always a great event and this year the standard was particularly high.   

I never fail to be amazed at the amount of enthusiasm that is generated by the Form Singing. Months in advance I am asked by scores of children about what they will be singing for the next competition! During the actual competition I am fairly wrapped up in playing all the notes and co-ordinating the backing tracks that I had recorded. Looking at the pictures taken I can see why the children enjoy it so much! It is a great way to finish the first half of term and all the forms were very supportive to each other; it was noticeable how the younger forms were more confident in their second songs having being so well applauded at the end of their first performances. The overall winners were Juniors - Form 4C & Seniors - Form 6W
