Year 5 Team Excel in National Science Quiz

A team of four Year 5 pupils was a great credit to Hilden Grange at the national finals of the Inter-School Science Quiz Championship.  After a nail-biting time for teams and spectators alike, the team came third in a group of 12 teams drawn from across the UK.

They did exceptionally well as a team, conferring over the multiple-choice questions and were justifiably delighted with their great achievement.  They were each presented with certificates and a book.

The finals took place at the Culham Centre for Fusion Energy in Abingdon.  After the quiz, the pupils were given a very rare opportunuity to look around some of the centre, witness some experiments and gain a feel for the very important work carried out there.

The pressure is now on for next year's Year 5 team!
