Furry fundraising for The Hospice in the Weald

At the end of last term we welcomed an array of furry visitors into school for a 'Bring a Bear - Show you Care' day to raise money for Hospice in the Weald.

The children were very supportive of the day and we had never seen so many well-dressed teddies and cuddly toys at school on one day!  Pupils paid a pound for each bear they brought into school.  The catering staff kindly made some teddy bear biscuits which were sold at breaktime.  The bears were entered into a competition with prizes for the biggest, smallest, best-dressed, cutest and 'the bear that is not a bear'.

A fantastic total of £727.34 was raised on the day itself, contributing to the impressive amount of £1329.69 raised in total this year for The Hospice in the Weald.
